The Repeller Grate System

Everything The Repeller Grate can do for you in Lewiston and the surrounding ME area.

The Hydraulic Repeller

A patented anti-fouling system with a hydraulically operated cutting blade. Press a button and the blade clears the grate — no stopping, no back-flushing, no reduced performance.

The Hydraulic Repeller Grate is a patented anti-fouling system that eliminates grate fouling as an issue. It can be run at any time and at any speed. A hydraulically operated blade is incorporated into a redesigned, refined stainless steel intake screen. Any seaweed, eel grass, or other debris that collects on the screen is removed by the blade. It is a modular design — if a tine is damaged, individual tines can be replaced. In the demonstration video, the Hydraulic Repeller makes quick work of a common marine hazard — rope — cutting the debris away so the grate stays clear and the jet delivers full thrust and maximum performance.

The Stationary Repeller

A refined intake grate with sharpened tines and a sharpened base plate that act as a passive cutter — no moving parts, just smart geometry in rugged stainless steel.

The Stationary Repeller consists of a refined intake grate with sharpened tines and a sharpened base plate that act as a cutter. Being made of stainless steel, it is rugged and reliable. The intake grate can be engineered to fit any size watercraft — from personal watercraft to large yachts and military vessels. Once in place, as weeds or debris pass over the grate, the sharpened tines cut them; the smaller pieces are then able to fall away or flow through the impeller without affecting performance. The Stationary Repeller is also a modular design — if a tine is damaged, the tines can be replaced.

The Internal Repeller

A precision stainless steel casting that bolts into the impeller housing or directly to the grate, keeping the impeller free of debris that made it past the cutter.

The Internal Repeller is a carefully shaped casting of stainless steel that can be bolted through the impeller housing just in front of the impeller, or installed directly to the grate itself. It offers little to no resistance to the flow of water into the jet. Its function is to keep the impeller free of any debris that has been removed by the blade cutter, so the jet can deliver full thrust and maximum performance at all times.
